I have been up to Iwate twice since 3/11 and have been praying about moving from Shikoku where I’ve been doing rural church planting and pastoring for 10 years to the unchurched coastal area between Miyako and Kuji to be involved in relief work, emotional care, and sensitive outreach and relational church planting. I will be relocating to Iwate in late February. My ministry focus will be in Iwaizumi and the adjacent towns of Tanohata, Fudai, and Noda. I am open to form various mutual collaborative partnerships. Look forward to getting to better know others who also have been called to work in Iwate Ken for God’s Kingdom. Blessings.
On November 8, we visited Tsugaruishi Nursery School (Miyako City) and Osanago kindergarten (Otsuchi-cho) to perform various fun activities, such as singing, jumping and story-telling for the children there. Having been damaged by the tsunami, a temporary nursery was built in Tsugaruishi and the Osanago facility had to be cleaned and repaired. We had some great time together with the children dancing, jumping, and taking pose. We also read picture books, sang together and some children acted like wild horses. We thank teachers for their warm welcome and cooperation, and children for sharing such a precious and fun time with us. Visited members: Pastor Minoru Endou (TOEI Evangelical Christ Church), […]

Two of the women among them took the visiting team to a newly developed meeting facility next to the housings complex and introduced a manager of the facility. We suggested a gathering of a patchwork group there. As the manager was very pleased with our proposal, we will discuss the specifics of the program and other potential programs that could take place in the […]
