The autumn is deepening here in Iwate day by day. However, energy support activities are being carried out in spite of the cold weather at different sites; at those sites, the relationships have been developed over time, while at some locations, new relationships will start. Our Coordinators Yoshiya Kondo and Fumiaki Otsuka are out of the country on a study trip to Israel. Please contact the Secretariat Masaki Sasaki for any information or inquiry.
The weather is becoming increasingly cooler and we are getting deeper into the autumn in Iwate. This week, local staff and volunteers continue to carry out services and activities at different locations. Last weekend, a university student, Ryo Inoue, joined us as a long-term staff member. He has taken a break from the school for six months! On the day he arrived he arrived in Iwate after a series of bus rides, he started his service at his assigned site. The takeover process of the Ichinoseki Base has been completed, and it will be closed for about two weeks.
Our activities continue on this week. At the Ichinoseki Base, which we succeeded from the CRASH Japan last week, a former CRASH staff Emiko Matsumoto started her work as the 3.11 Iwate Church Network’s staff. In addition, 黄斯南 (called Yukiko-san in Japan), a sister from a Conservative Baptist Church in Hong Kong, will change her role from an earthquake relief support staff at the Kesennuma Bible Baptist Church to a staff of the Network. Please pray for pray for their success in their new roles.
September ended quickly and now the intense summer heat is gone. We pray that our work at various locations will be blessed and people will be helped. The succession procedure of operations at Ishinoseki will be carried out this week and next week. The open hours of the Ippo Ippo Yamada base have been changed to from 10:00 to 17:00. Some local staff are not still in good health condition. Please pray for their recovery and well-being.
