We have prepared a collection of items as a Christmas Wishlist under Our Wishlist tab on our homepage.
We’ll probably be putting up additional items as time goes by, so please check in on the list periodically. Even if you can’t fulfil all the requests, do check with our person in charge, because a portion of the need can still be met.
We’ve seen our first snow for the winter along the mountainous areas of Iwate. Things are picking up speed towards a full winter season.
Once again, we receive plenty of help from our volunteers to do our ministry. Please pray for this work and for them.
The snap shows the team from Singapore doing a skit. Can you guess what this scene is about?
The ministry for the fourth week of October is in progress across our locations. We have many volunteers in town with us this week and are busy serving across our locations. The snap is that of an event held in a public reconstruction housing in Kamaishi city. Going forward, we see new needs in helping the community as it moves from living in kasetsus to a more permanent situation. (cont’d in Prayer Points)
The typhoon has now passed, but the wind is still blowing strong. For the coastal areas that received a stronger dose of rain and wind than we did on the inland of Iwate, please continue to pray for safety. Some events were cancelled due to the typhoon. We have teams coming in from many places, such as the EPJM team from Singapore and the Liferay team from the USA, as well as individuals, to serve with us this week. Please pray that they will arrive safely and that their activities will be protected.
