Spring is already nearby along the coast of Iwate (the snap was taken by United Project at a kasetsu in Miyako). 3.11 came for a fourth time last week, and our staff were doing what they do best in their respective communites: some particpiating in memorial events while others went about their usual way of drawing up alongside those still suffering. In each of their own ways, they went into their fifth year of ministry. This week’s activities are almost over, but please continue to pray and support our ministry.
On the 11th of March, our staff spent their day at their respective locations. Some went about their usual support work, another went to see people in their kasetsu-s, some went to participate in local memorial events, while another may have had their own quiet times of prayer. Each did what they could at their own place as a neighbor in the community where they are. On the 8th of March (Sun), our own fourth 3.11 Memorial was held that afternoon. Around 130 people particpated. These were not just our staff, but people who came from other churches in Iwate, from beyond Iwate and even from overseas. We were reminded that each of these are people who have been sent by our Lord to be neighbors for those who need one, and that is where our hearts united. (con’t in Prayer Points)
